PREPARING TO JOIN A LESSON
It's always daunting doing something new but be assured that there are easy things you can do.
Nordic Walking is an extension of 'ordinary walking' so you can prepare yourself by taking short walks, at a comfortable but brisk pace, several times a week.
When you walk to the bus, around the shops, do you slouch or walk tall? Try to become aware of your posture, and how you move.
If you have stairs - use them. As many times as you can.
March on the spot several times a day if you can - or while watching your favourite TV programme, if the weather outdoors puts you off.
If you book for an individual training session, or a small group training, you will be sent details of some preparatory exercises and warm ups to get you really fired up with enthusiasm and confidence.
